Generation Rescue is an international movement of scientists, physicians and parent-volunteers researching the causes and treatments of autism and mentoring thousands of families in recovering their children from autism.
Autism in the United States
Autism affects every 1 in 150 children. Every day 64 families receive life-changing news. Every 20 minutes another child receives an autism diagnosis. There are more than 1 million children in the United States alone on the autism spectrum with millions of families affected. Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder and childhood disease and receives less than 5% of the research funding. This year more children will be diagnosed with autism than cancer, diabetes, Down Syndrome and AIDS combined.
Generation Rescue’s Programs & Services
Rescue Angels Network
Rescue Angels are parents of a child who has recovered or greatly improved from symptoms of autism, ADHD or chronic illness through the services of Generation Rescue. Comprised of more than 1,300 volunteers in 38 countries, Rescue Angels mentor families on how to choose a doctor, begin biomedical treatment including diets, vitamins, supplements, and access resources in their local area. Rescue Angels support thousands of calls and emails each moth from families around the world. Approximately 22,000 new families receive assistance from our Rescue Angels each year.
Rescue Family Program
Rescue Family grant provides biomedical treatment for families who cannot afford treatment. Generations Rescue’s Rescue Family grants are designed to provide support to individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Each grant recipient will receive two doctor visits with a specially trained physician who treats autism; vitamins, minerals and supplements for 90 days, a Generation Rescue- Rescue Mentor and dietary intervention training. As we continue to promote that autism is reversible, early and on-going biomedical treatment is essential to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families on a path to recovery.

Rescue Awareness Campaign
Through our Rescue Awareness public relations campaign, Generation Rescue provides parents with the truth about the causes of autism, prevention strategies and effective treatment options.
